Everything is planned, rehearsed and defined to the minute. But when the show is on, the MC decides what happens on stage. Filling the moment until the next cue, under the event director’s guidance. Both are often the most important partners in the event process. Now, there are a great number of good MCs, and this should by no means constitute a rating. Rather, this is a subjective declaration of love to a valued colleague.
Andrea Thilo
I met Andrea Thilo at the Internet Governance Forum 2019 in Berlin. As the MC for this international event of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the UN 2019 in Berlin, Andrea was involved in the project early on by the event agency Vagedes & Schmid (Hamburg / Berlin www.vagedes-schmid.de) and so it came to our first meeting, which has really made a lasting impression on me:
Andrea is a power woman, a Duracell bunny, a bundle of energy, an absolute professional. Only 1.65 cm, but with a presence of a 2-meter giant. If you talk to her, you have to google words afterwards :-) She has so much experience, gained during her career as a journalist, producer, trainer / coach and MC, and definitely an asset for each project. Our subsequent collaboration was characterized by her absolute professionalism, but also a lot of fun and shared joy in reaching a maximum goal. Dear Andrea ... I’m ready anytime.
