»My expertise can make a valuable contribution right from the start.«
In order to describe my understanding of the tasks I am given, I would like to explain how I see the terms Show Caller, Stage Manager and Event Director, as they can invoke misunderstandings in communication with customers and event agencies:
Most of all I can contribute to the success of an event in the comprehensive function as Event Director. I would be part of the project team from the earliest possible point of time and would, in collaboration with the planning agency, enrich the preparation with sound ideas and judgment – from location search to emotionally effective dramaturgy. Everything flows into a collectively designed storyboard. Planning and directing from a single source is the best condition for me to achieve exceptional event success together with all involved.
As the Stage Manager, I usually arrive at the event location shortly after the construction team and from then on bring my experience into the implementation of the pre-planned storyboard. I will design moods as required, set stage entrances and exits, rehearse with the actors and distill my cue list from all this to ensure the smooth running of the event.

As a Show Caller, I am responsible for the perfect process during the event itself but will rely on previous contributors’ planning, preparation and rehearsal results. For this to work it is essential to have a professionally prepared cue list on the evening before, which I will carry out precisely and reliably with the team on the day of the event.
